Since the park opens at 10:00 AM and runs until 6:00 PM, arriving close to opening gave us plenty of time to explore the attractions before the afternoon crowds picked up. We also noticed that weekday visits outside the peak April to June season meant shorter waits at popular spots like Wetlantic and The Lagoon, making it easier for families with younger children to enjoy the day at their own pace.
From Mumbai Roads to Gorai Shores
Before we even reached the park, the journey itself became part of the plan. Coming from different parts of Mumbai, we found that the easiest route was to reach Borivali and continue towards Gorai jetty for the short ferry crossing. Guests travelling from South and Central Mumbai can take the Western Express Highway towards Borivali, while those coming from Thane follow a similar route through Mira-Bhayandar. From Navi Mumbai, the Sion-Panvel corridor connects to the same highway, making it a slightly longer journey. For those travelling from Pune, the distance makes it better suited for a planned getaway rather than a quick day trip. Within Mumbai, local trains to Borivali remain one of the simplest ways to reach the park.
